Fire Safety
At SafetyWorks! you will discover the importance of having a Smoke Alarm, how it can save lives as well as how often it should be tested. Fire spreads very quickly – learn how to prevent fire spreading and the dangers of smoke. You will also learn what to do if a fire starts in your home and know how to safely get out. Kitchen Safety
Most of all accidents in the home occur in the Kitchen. During this session visitors will understand how certain things in kitchens can be dangerous if used incorrectly and how this can result in injuries. Home safety
Bogus Callers and Distraction Burglaries are an unfortunate occurrence particularly for older people in the community. At SafetyWorks! you can discover what you can do to prevent being a victim of distraction burglary. Our personal safety scenario page has more information about staying safe both at home and outside.
Internet safety
During this session, we deliver internet safety to groups aged 5 years plus. Students will be reminded about the potential dangers of posting personal information on line, understand about cyber-bullying and grooming and be made aware of the appropriate actions to take in protecting their personal information.Read more about our Internet Safety scenario.
Road Safety
Visitors are reminded that Road Safety is for everyone from small children to older people and we all use it every day. Depending on the age and the needs of the visiting groups, topics such as safe places to cross, planning your route, cycling safely and driving safely can be covered. Travelling Safely
At the West Fifteen Metro Station, visitors can experience just how unsafe the tracks are to walk and learn about the dangers of the overhead cables as well as other hazards of playing near the tracks. Showing posters of real victims of railway accidents (dependent upon age group) supports this and helps to reinforce the message that playing near the railway can cost you your life.

Hospital / A&E
The aim of the Hospital scenario is to try and prevent accidents and also prevent anyone suffering through lack of first aid training. The realistic setting can help to ensure visitors are not afraid of hospitals or hospital staff.
Various elements of first aid can be covered depending on the age and needs of the group, for example the recovery position, bleeding, burns and scalds, choking, asthma, CPR, etc. Additionally issues around Health Eating and Obesity can be covered.
