CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) is a type of sexual abuse in which children are sexually exploited for money, power or status. It is often a hidden crime, as young people often trust their abusers and they don’t understand they are being abused.
CSE is a real danger in modern society and young people can be some of the most vulnerable in our communities.
Our community hub located within SafetyWorks! is equipped with all the learning aides and resources to deliver age appropriate sessions to groups of visitors.
We also offer bespoke packages to adults with learning difficulties.
The two hour packages are delivered by our two CSOs from Northumbria Police, who have received extensive training on this important subject. Our sessions are aimed at children aged nine years and older, teenagers and also adults. We can cater for up to 12 students each session covering all the elements of CSE.
Our sessions include:
- Healthy Relationships
- Drugs & Alcohol
- Online grooming and the dangers of exploitation
We are members of the NWG, a charitable organisation formed as a UK network of over 12,000 practitioners who disseminate information to professionals working on the issue of CSE and trafficking within the UK.
